As our name suggests, West Michigan Alpacas is located in beautiful West Michigan, just two miles from the sandy shores of Lake Michigan.
Growing up on a farm with a variety of animals, I have always enjoyed animals of all kinds. In fact, my childhood dream was to become a veterinarian. That’s why, when my husband, John, approached me with the idea of raising alpacas (which I had never heard of), it almost instantly felt right, like coming home. Before I knew it, we grew from our original three bred females to a herd of 19 alpacas – all within the first year! I have enjoyed, immensely, the process of learning about and working with these unique animals. They are fascinating, peaceful creatures and it is such a blessing to be able to look out my window and watch them graze in the pasture. ON top of that, this country lifestyle is a perfect fit for us and our four children.
Specializing in top bred Suri alpacas, I believe in a solid business plan, a top quality foundation herd, a commitment to excellence in every detail, and dedication to consistent improvement of offspring.
